Composer Monty Norman, who created the famous James Bond theme, has died at the age of 94. His family confirmed the news. Norman got his start in the entertainment industry as a singer, working with bands such as Cyril Stapleton, Stanley Black, Ted Heath, and Nat Temple. His vocal talents took him to variety shows as well, sharing the stage with stars like Benny Hill, Spike Milligan, Jimmy Edwards, and others. It was in the late 1950s that Norman turned toward authorship. He has written lyrics for musicals such as Make me an offer And the Irma La Douce Before creating the result for Doctor noJames Bond’s first movie.
